David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
