Trump's Family Member Gets Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance

Young golfer getting ready for major competition

The rising star boasts substantial social media audience

The young golfer can count on plenty of prominent backers as she starts her LPGA debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a special exemption to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, owns multiple courses worldwide and regularly matches against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she revealed.

Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"He practically told me to play and have fun," she explained.

"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, so he's quite busy."

Being non-professional, Kai has participated in only three events recently and has position 461 in AJGA listings.

Yet she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.

"He is the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.

"And he's a superior human being. He advised me to compete, relax, and go with the flow."

Kai will face some of the biggest names in the sport at the Annika, including world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that her participation exposes the sport to different demographics, especially among younger fans.

Kai boasts substantial online presence and recently launched a personal clothing and lifestyle label.

Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
